But that's not unusual / It's just that the moon is full / And you happened to call And here I sit / Hand on the telephone / Hearing a voice I'd known /A couple of light years ago / Heading straight for a fall As I remember your eyes / Were bluer than robin's eggs My poetry was lousy you said / Where are you calling from? / A booth in the midwest Ten years ago /I bought you some cufflinks / You brought me something We both know what memories can bring / They bring diamonds and rust Well you burst on the scene / Already a legend The unwashed phenomenon / The original vagabond / You strayed into my arms And there you stayed / Temporarily lost at sea / The Madonna was yours for free Yes the girl on the half-shell / Would keep you unharmed Now I see you standing / With brown leaves falling around / And snow in your hair Now you're smiling out the window / Of that crummy hotel /Over Washington Square Our breath comes out white clouds / Mingles and hangs in the air Speaking strictly for me / We both could have died then and there Now you're telling me / You're not nostalgic Then give me another word for it / You who are so good with words / And at keeping things vague Because I need some of that vagueness now / It's all come back too clearly Yes I loved you dearly And if you're offering me diamonds and rust / I've already paid Video-Norah Jones--Rosie's Lullaby很早就知道Norah Jones要出新专辑了，在一个月前就在AMAZON网站上看到她的新歌的LIVE，那时候听着这首歌，晒着太阳，陶醉至极，一口气听了好几遍。专辑现在已完整呈现，听了，还是她依旧的风格，soul，很多人都用这个词来概括她的歌，的确。不过有几首歌加了很多种乐器演奏，优美依旧。特喜欢她钢琴中的辗转、随意，琴如歌声。有时候听着听着，觉得不可思议的浪漫，即使是一个人，也能够想像什么是浪漫；有时候是那种不着痕迹的悲伤，歌词拿捏得很好，不做作，打动人心。在驴上已成功拖了她一场演唱会（还有更多的正在辛苦地拖之中，驴的那个速度个，不是一个慢字能概括的）那是还是2003年，身材有点肥，但丝毫不影响她的惊艳与气质，没事无聊时仍会拿出来听听。不久前在某位同志的电脑上一起看了她的另一场演唱会，感觉还是那么好，说起来还欠我一张她演唱会的DVD呢！乐队中的BASS手是Norah的男朋友皆创作伙伴，有时候不禁会想，这就是真正的soul mate吧？Lucky them. 废话一堆，还是听歌吧，one lullaby, sleep well, baby~~
